What is aerogel?

Aerogel was first produced by American scientist S. Kistler in 1931 as a low-density, high-porosity nanoporous material. As early as 1993, NASA had applied aerogel to aerospace applications. Various thermal insulation materials in too field. More than 80% of airgel is air, so it has a very good heat insulation effect. One inch of airgel is equivalent to the heat insulation function of 20 to 30 pieces of ordinary glass. Because of its low density, it is also called "solidified blue smoke"
